DIY Bliss balls

photo20.jpg
I have a container of these protein/healthy fat enriched bites in my fridge 100% of the time. Dipped into equally by both adults and kids alike. They’re a quick no-bake on-the-go snack that I keep in a sealed container in the fridge for a 3pm energy boost or to satisfy my late night sweet tooth.

INGREDIENTS

  • 200g almonds, blitzed in blender to a fine texture

  • 100g Medjool dates, about 10

  • 65g coconut oil, melted

  • 50g oats, blitzed in a blender to a fine texture

  • 60g coconut, desiccated

  • Generous pinch of salt

Variations

  • 2 drops Doterra or Young Living Oils orange essence

  • 2 drops Doterra or Young Living Oils peppermint oil

  • 1 tbsp Cashew butter

METHOD

  1. In a Thermomix or food processor, blend almonds and oats together to a fine texture. *Thermomix : Time 10 seconds at speed 10.

  2. Meanwhile, place coconut oil in a small pan on the stove and melt on low heat.

  3. Tip oil into the mixture with the remaining ingredients. Blend again to a fine texture and pour into a bowl. The next step is where the kids like to step in and help forming the balls. If your pressed for time and want to avoid the mess, it makes very quickly without them! Form mixture into 1-inch balls and place in a glass container. Stores in the fridge for a week.
